Mirror Issues

Postby mhstar » 11 Sep 2016 12:52

Just a heads up - at least in Southern Austria we are served by this mirror - both for in-application updates, as well as downloads from the website: http://mirror.klaus-uwe.me/

This mirror - compared to the others - seems to be extremely overloaded - with downloads taking 15+ minutes, before being reset due to network errors.

Accessing http://mirror.klaus-uwe.me/ directly shows that the mirror is used for other stuff too - including a folder with an IP address, which seems to have project work from various customers inside, a windows link to Dropbox, a thumbs.db, and so on.

Seeing its really slow (takes several minutes to open a folder), is that some guys personal PC being used as a mirror here? It might be a good idea to de-emphasize it.
