URLs and GUI

Postby rwwozney » 27 Jun 2016 15:07

Is there a way to hide playback controls on an iPad running iOS9+?

Can I shut down VLC through URL or x-callback? Ive tried the vlc://quit and that does not work.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Playback controls are automatically hidden after a time-out. There is no way to influence this behavior.

For quitting VLC, no, this would violate the User Interface Guidelines of iOS. Apps may not simply quit.

What is your actual use-case scenario?
