Panther -> 5.1; Tiger -> Stereo only !

VLC 0.8.2

on OS 10.3.9:

plays 5.1 surround OK, but sometimes stereo comes from wrong channels (can be fixed by setting output to Stereo in Sonica, then back to 5.1)

on OS 10.4.2:

plays only and always stereo, even with 5.1 soundtrack. Behaves like DVD Player.

Tried all usual setting massaging with "Audio MIDI Setup".

Has anyone any success with 10.4.2 and Surround 5.1 ?
