Using third-party servers and proxy with VLC sout

Postby Vato » 21 Oct 2005 11:10

In my setup the encoded WMV (asfh mux) will be steamed to a large amount of viewers with http. The encoding PC is already heavy-loaded. Can anybody tell me - can I use SQUID or RealServer to make only one connection to VLC encoder?

Currently I'm using VLC in VLM mode, but under heavy load it leaks after couple of hours streaming, independent from streaming format (tried MPEG1/2/4/H264/Theora/VMV).

Return to “VLC stream-output (sout)”
