Complete history of medias viewed (with count) like winamp

Hello,
It amazes me that this great player has no or little history of the medias played.
I want to record ALL the medias played in a browseable history so I can remember, for instance, which episode of a show I last watched and resume the TV show again when I feel like it. This cannot be done in VLC currently which is very disappointing.
I have to rely on the very short windows history in "recent" tabs but it's never enough.
Care to implement some real history features in the future ?
