VLC NO 5.1 (I KNOW THIS HAS BEEN ASKED MANY TIME SORRY)

Hi i know this has been asked many times before.I am using this version VLC Player 2.0.8 (x64) as when i down load a torrent file in 5.1 VLC will let u under options pick that option for 5.1.My issue is any later versions of the VLC when i play any files i have download movies in 5.1 I cant see the option for 5.1 under the options section.So i dont what do or how to fix this issue sorry.If any one else has this issue and u know i sort this out i will use latest VLC if not i am keeping the old VLCverison that i use sorry.Thank you.
