Opening a video file, the playback window keeps showing up with its top half off-screen, at the top of my screen. I eventually deleted all of the preferencesit and it came back to work properly = window is displayed near the top left corner of my screen. However, eventually it keeps creeping back up there and off my screen! This becomes very annoying. I keep dragging it down by grabbing the bottom of the playback window but it doesn't remember the window position and doesn't stick between re-launches of the app.

What Mac and how many screens do you have?
Providing logs, messages, configuration info (VLC, OS, Hardware) and a clear explanation of the issue always helps the problem solvers help you, even if they don't end up solving the issue.
