Automatic load subtitles in VLC Media Player

Postby Digstoragemusic » 04 Jan 2016 09:21

Hi !
I am developing a third party app and I am accessing movies from cloud storage like dropbox. Is there any way to download subtitles automatically when I stream a certain movie ?

Thank you !

Yeah that would be great, BSPlayer has this auto download subs option and allows you to choose even a proper language, but I hate this player. Using VLC since I'm on ubuntu, so looking forward for same option in this great player.
Rock ON!

You can either set the "slave-input" input item option to the URL of the subtitles file, or the "sub-file" option to the local file path of the subtitles.
