Crashing on startup

Hi. For a few months i havent been able to use the app as it boots me back to the home screen when opening. It will open and very briefly i can see the app and "Loading", then it goes straight out of the app.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled several times and also tried the beta which gives me the same issue. Are there any settings that arent removed when uninstalling, that i can manually delete which may be causing the issue?

I'm running it on Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, android version 5.1.1.

VLC for Android has been out of beta for a while... have you tried the nightly builds?

I saw the beta on the play store thats why i gave it a go. Just downloaded and installed the latest nightly build and it throws errors as soon as it loads. Ahh well. Thanks for the response.
