Recording from a DVD

Postby njhoepner » 08 Sep 2015 08:42

I made the mistake of upgrading to the latest version of VLC media player (2.2.1). Now, when I try to record a clip from a DVD, all I get is the audio (an MPG file)...I have no idea why. I am a teacher and use video clips often in my classes, so this is a serious pain in the neck. I can't find a setting that seems related to the issue. Does anyone have an idea what is going wrong? Thanks!

Is this problem believed to have been fixed yet?

I'm on 2.2.6 Umbrella (Windows 8.1). When I record from a DVD, the result is in three parts:

1. Audio only
2. Mute video, miming the audio just played
3. Normal audio and video for the balance of the clip

:(
