v 2.6.0 Seemingly random crashes c. audio files

Postby jamied » 06 Jul 2015 14:10

Hi,
I can't see this mentioned elsewhere but I'm having apparently random crashes on playing audio files. Subsequent attempts to start vlc result in displaying "Upgrading Media Library" for a second or so before crashing out. I then delete vlc & reinstall and the same file will play ok. I'm using the ipa on jailbroken (TAIG) iOS 8.1.3 on iphone 4s. Version 2.5.1 was fine. How can I get more useful diag info?

This sounds like a corrupted database which was cleaned by your uninstall and re-installation. VLC should behave normally now.

Note that we don't offer support for jailbroken devices as those allow file synchronisation mechanisms which can lead to database corruption.
