Recording Stream File Doesn't Work

I am trying to stream from one computer to another computer - I have a video and I'm using RTP/MPEG Transport Stream. The streaming works fine - I can see the video and such, but I want to record the resulting video, and I found I could do that by using the record button on the advanced controls. Recording was perfectly fine the first time. However, when I tried streaming again and recording, the file size got abnormally large (first time recorded was about 5000KB but subsequent tries were at least 4 GB and kept growing) and when I tried to stop the recording (I paused, then stopped, then closed the player), it kept writing to the file until I had to log out to stop it.
