all videos in video folder

I would like to setup VLC media player to do the following using buttons or keyboard commands in VLC:

a) Skip thru videos in my playlist ( I already know how to do this)

or b) Skip thru videos in my default video folder (incl playlist videos and non-playlist videos)

in settings there are all assignable hotkeys there. if there is some function you would like not listed under hotkeys, you could submit a feature request
