Problem with vlc player

This is a new problem encountered by me. I don't know what settings i have changed that VLC is trying to open every thing. Every single desktop icon is changed to VLCs one.... every .exe file is now opened by VLC... i tried to re install it by recommend setting. later i tried to clean all the registry related to it using revo installer but in vain any one pls help


this problem corrects up when i uninstall the vlc,,, but it is such a user friendly and good player that i don't want to leave using it,,, please help me
