vod + transcode

Postby johnnyrlq » 09 Sep 2005 22:27

Hello sir's
Well tell me:
Is it possible to do transcoding when using RTSP vod?
I have done this:

>new Test vod enabled
>setup Test input video.mpg
>setup Test output #transcode{option...}
or
>setup Test option sout-transcode-vcodec=mp4v
>setup Test option sout-transcode-acodec=mp4a
>setup Test option sout-transcode-fps=30
.
.
.

But I can't see the video in my VLC client; can you help me how can I transcode in mp4????????
thanks

Hi everyone
Well....I have tried to transcode to mp4v in vod enviroment; but I have the same problem with differents inputs,
I can't see video with my VLC client....these are my inputs:

1.> show Test
show
Test
type : vod
enabled : yes
loop : no
inputs
Eminem.mpg
output : #transcode{vcodec=mp4v,acodec=mpga,vb=800,ab=128,deinterlace}:standard{access=udp,mux=ts}
options
instances

2. > show Test
show
Test
type : vod
enabled : yes
loop : no
inputs
Eminem.mpg
output : #transcode{vcodec=mp4v,venc=ffmpeg,vb=128,acodec=mpga,ab=64,deinterlace}
options
instances

3. > show Test
show
Test
type : vod
enabled : yes
loop : no
inputs
Eminem.mpg
output : #transcode{vcodec=mp4v,venc=x264{bframes=0,keyint=300},vb=128,acodec=mpga,ab=64}
options
instances

And they don't work, only work if I transcode to mpgv and not to mp4v; but when I transcode to a file it works very well, Idon't have any problem, mpgv,mp4v, etc......I think the ffmpeg and x264 package are working.....can anyone help me????

ps .........sorry for my english.
