VLC srt subtitles

Postby ant12 » 04 Jul 2014 10:42

Hello VLC dev team,

First of all let me congratulate you on the excellent job developing the iOS VLC app! I recently upgraded to an iPad Air and with VLC I can play 1080p MKV files smooth as butter! Truly impressive work! Plus the app gets better with every new version! Thank you!

I have 2 files: a.avi and a.srt (portuguese subtitle)

I try to play it but it doesn't show the subtitle. It is very strange because with other movies it works. Any clues ?

Thanks for your time and help!

I forgot to say that i'm using a movie from dropbox because if i upload to the ipad using itunes i don't have any problem.

Thanks.

We only support the .srt autodetection for local files.

There is any way to force the use of .srt ?
