MIDI error

Recently, I tried playing a MIDI file in VLC, but, according to [url=https://wiki.videolan.org/Midi/]VideoLAN Wiki[/url], it was discontinued after version 2.0.8 (on Windows). when I went to try to find the plugin that I needed for Midi Playback to return, both places that are listed to get the SF2 plugin don't have a version for mac. I was wondering where I can find such a thing? thanks!

Midi still works with VLC 2.1.4 for Mac OS.
