VLC Qt Accessibility

Postby AndreiTuicu » 10 May 2014 12:59

Hello everyone!

I hope this is the right place to ask this question, if not please tell me and I will move my post.
First of all, I want to congratulate VLC developers for the accessibility support! :D

Also, I have a question regarding the implementation. I saw that the developers have succeded make the screen-reader tell the shortcut keys along with the option's name. For example instead of "Open File..." the screen-reader says "Open File... Ctrl+O". How were you able to do that? I've tried setting every property that I could for the QAction object and I couldn't do that... If the developer that added support for accessibility dosen't usually read this forum, I would really apreciate some contact information.

I have to mention that I've looked through the code and I didn't find anything that could make me see what is different.

Thank you very much!
Andrei
