Playing tracks without breaks

When I play a file containing separate tracks, there's always a break inserted between tracks. While this is OK if the tracks are all seperate songs or movements, it's very disruptive if the music is continous (e.g. in an opera). Is there a way of getting rid of these unwanted breaks?
