I suggest devs include automatic cover art and metadata fetching similar to Infuse (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/infuse- ... 30046?mt=8) which uses community driven TheMovieDB and TheTVDB databases.

We are looking into to, but help would be absolutely welcome since VLC for iOS is developed by volunteers in their spare time only.
