Playing Final Cut Pro Mov's

I am trying to play FCP clips and movies in VLC but VLC says it does not understand teh codec DVCP.

Anyone?

VLC does not support it indeed, since it is a proprietary (= closed source) format. You need to transcode / convert it to another format such as MPEG2 or MPEG4 or something like that to be able to play it with VLC.
