Play by subtitle

Postby Loden » 11 Feb 2014 08:27

Hello,
For language learning purposes I am using videos with soft subtitles in the original language (English movie with english subtitles, Japanese movie with Japanese subtitles, etc...)

I am looking for an option to play the video "subtitle by subtitle" ... by this I mean play segments of the video delimited by the start and end time of a subtitle.

This really helps for learning purposes because we can breakdown the dialogue and analyse each "sentence" separately before moving on to the next,

You can do that in Aegis sub when you create subtitles but Aegis is not practical as a "player".

I haven't found a way to do that in VLC nor in any of the FAQs..... did I miss something?

Thanks in advance for any hints/help !!!!

No, you cannot do that in VLC.
