Webinterface "Easy Stream" not working

I set up the webinterface by checking web in the preferences -> main interfaces tab and setting "Lua interface" to http in the preferences->Main interfaces->Lua tab.
Now when i open VLC and playing a file this is working as expected and flawlessly except the button "Easy Stream".

When i hit the button in the webinterface VLC Player throws an errormessage that it cant open the file or MRL <path>.
Why this is happening is pretty clear, the path is just wrong.
Its 2x the path to the file followed by the filename, so for example i opened "C:\Videos\some.avi" it would try to open the file "C:\Videos\\C:\Videos\some.avi" when i hit the stream button.

Now i dont know what i possibly did wrong since its only 2 steps to setup the webinterface.
How can i fix this issue?

VLC Version: 2.1.2
OS: WinXP x64

I think this is a known issue that this is borken. fixes welcome.
