Pink screen

When I play avi's in VLC Media Player, everything has a very strong pinkish tint. Why is this? And how can I fix it? thanks.

Found another post which worked for me. Go into the preferences,then video>output module(make sure that advanced is checked at the bottom)>scroll down and select quartz video.

may also solve the .avi file problems

I have this problem as well but when try to do "preferences,then video>output module(make sure that advanced is checked at the bottom)>scroll down and select quartz video" I dont see Quartz Video? Please help
