ALL SOUND is totally messed up , just on VLAN (bug report)

Hi,
BIG problem with VLC , After i got a new formated pc.

description :
on VLC any audio or video file playing - the sound is totally messed up
LOUD static noise all over the sound, can't hear a thing

this happens ONLY on VLC, no other video or audio player does that on my system.
this is ALL the time.

relevant system details (hardware) :

CPU : AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice
MOTHERBOARD : DFI LANPARTY UT n4 Ultra-D
GPU : ASUS RADEON X800XL 256MB DDR 256 BIT VIVO PCI-E

no special sound card, just the onboard one (nvidia nforce audio)


relevant system details (software) :
VLC 0.8.2 on windows xp pro + sp2

directX 9.0c
FFDSHOW video(&audio?) codecs
(FFDSHOW's system tray icons come up when playing videos on other players, OTHER THAN VLC, when using VLC to play videos, the FFDSHOW isn't working for some reason)




the problem is with ALL video's and ALL audio files on my pc or streaming
many times i've tried to uninstall, and re-install VLC, but the problem remains.

PLEASE. i need to find out what causes this, and solve it
i can post any additional information that may be requiered.
including sound samples on VLC and on other video players.
