Version 2.1.2 with OSX10.9 Crash whilst playing from NAS

Postby trialanderror » 14 Dec 2013 08:16

Hi,
I'm new at this, but I've got a problem with the latest VLC on my Mac Mini. I actually noticed it since I upgraded to 2.1.0 (not as bad) and also 2.1.1 getting worse. But it got really bad when I upgraded to 2.1.2.
I initially thought it was my NAS (Synology DS212j, running DSM 4.3-3810 Update 2). But since I can play everything fine from my iPad I concluded that it is the VLC in my Mac instead. So I went back to the old versions until I reach 2.0.9 when all the issues stops. It runs fine so far.
Has anyone get this problem? Any way I can help in getting this bug out?
Thanks

Bump. I use Synology NAS and have a similar issue. VLC randomly stops while playing, and after 3-5 seconds, the audio comes back but video keeps stopped.

Other player like Movist or MplayerX never has such problem.

Plus, I have a 802.11ac wireless network, it's pretty fast so it couldn't be network stutter or something else.
