Cannot open any file from FAT32 CF cards on external reader

Postby Cubilas » 04 Nov 2013 03:14

Hello !
This is a great community of VLC folks, hope I will be able to contribute some helpful information.

I am trying to play WAV files from my CF card. VLC will not play them.
Example:
File "G:/BruceUpEmDowm.WAV" from CF card on drive G: (USB external CF card reader)
Error message:
"Your input can't be opened: VLC is unable to open the MRL 'file:///G:/BruceUpEmDowm.WAV'. Check the log for details."
CF Card: 32GB 300x [FAT32] (formatted by Akai MPC 1000)
USB Reader: PixelFlash USB 3.0 connected to USB 2.0 port

My other software will read them just fine (mplayer/winamp/cooledit), drag-n-drop or standard open.
Not a big deal, but I really enjoy the features and benefits of using LC player.

If I could locate a log file, maybe I could provide more information.

Any ideas?

:?:
