prevent auto-startup of command line in VLC 2.1

Postby gernoth » 28 Sep 2013 12:57

I upgraded to VLC 2.1 and also applied the patch from http://www.hexbeerium.com/ so I can control VLC through my home wifi from the cellular phone.

However, ever since I applied the patch, vlc will start with the command line interface in the background.
And even when I close the player window, the command line window stays open so it is actively in the way :/
How can I permanently remove the command line window please?

I have the same problem. Upgraded from 2.0.8 to 2.1.1 and now the command line window is opening. Why?
