VLC 2.1.0 and Decklink Output

I've downloaded VLC 2.1.0, which supposedly has the Decklink Output module, but I can't find any reference to it in any of the menus. Also google searches have only come up with the oldschool decklinkSDK plugins.

I'm using OSX, I'd really like to output all video straight to a DeckLink HD Extreme card, which is installed and works perfectly with Decklink enabled applications. However, VLC either isn't loading the module or i'm missing something because it doesn't appear under the output module dropdown in OSX.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'd rather stay away from command line based solutions unless absolutely needed! Many thanks.

It is only compiled on Linux.

So can I compile the module for the osx version? Or will it literally only work on linux?

You probably can, but you need to modify and adapt.
