VLC/Ipad and itunes?

Newbie here to go easy please. Not sure where and or if to post this question here.

I have VLC installed on my ipad.

How do I import my movies into itunes then to the player?

Are there restrictions on what type of files I can import to itunes in order from VLC to work?

When you connect it in itunes, go to your ipad on the left hand side, then apps at the top of the main window. Scroll all the way down till you find File Sharing. Click on VLC and then on the right hand side, click on Add.... then browse to find your files, this will copy them to the VLC document directory.

Regarding file types, I can't say for certain but it should play most files VLC can play on the desktop.

Aw yeah it was so long since using this. I only use it when I'm traveling
