Streaming VLC to WMP Classic for a Dummy

Postby seams » 09 Sep 2013 19:23

Hi everyone. I have been watching Isohunt P2P movies on my HDTV using the ACE Stream Magic player (modified VLCP). My problem is that any video played in full screen on my HDTV with VLC always tears quite badly. I have discovered that by playing videos on WMP Classic with some tweaks to the WMPC Vsync settings (found online) works perfectly. I have downloaded the K-Lite codec mega pack for WMP Classic, and find that I can play any video without tearing, and launch them automatically in full screen mode with the correct aspect ratio for my HDTV. It is brilliant! My question is this, is it possible to set up vlc so that it automatically opens WMPC in 'clone mode' when vlc is playing media. If not can anyone tell me in minute detail without assuming I have any clue about vlc or streaming, how to set up WMPC as a clone of VLC. I have trawled the internet for weeks trying to tweak my pc and HDTV to stop the tearing problem with VLC, and have also tried to solve the VLC streaming to WMPC problem to no avail.

My setup: Toshiba Satellite L300 laptop, Vista Home Basic, Display adapter Mobile Intel 4 series Express Chipset Family, Intel 1600 CPU, 2 metre SVGA cable to HDTV Panasonic Viera TX37LZD70, D.Link DIR-615 WiFi, Virgin Media Cable Modem Cisco 2100, VLC 2.0.8, ACE stream 2.1.5.3 + latest ACE player (modified VLCP).
Many Thanks.
