Ru VLC via Remote Desktop - no video is shown

Postby eli13 » 16 May 2013 13:51

Hello.

If I connect to a remote machine (win7) using Remote Desktop and then start vlc on the remote machine, I do not see any video being displayed. Is there any known workaround?

I forgot to mention: Tested with vlc 2.0.5 and 2.0.6.
Note that with vlc-2.1.0-git-20120618-0002 playing video over Remote Desktop works fine.
If I log in directly to the machine, the video is being displayed.

The solution for the Player is to set the Video output to 'Windows GDI'. Has anyone an idea if that would be possible for the plugin too?
