No Sound after awhile

Postby Thunderkiss » 26 Jul 2005 10:42

I use VLC 0.8.2 now for a week. Since then I've the problem that after awhile of running Windows and using VLC, no sound will be played. No Errorsbeeps, no music in WinAmp, no email notification sound, nothing the whole Windows is quiet. When I do the restart, at the shutdown hundreds of "Can't closing" messages for VLC.EXE appears. Although no VLC.EXE was listed in the taskmanager and VLC wasn't open at the shutdown phase. After the last VLC.EXE is closed, I hear the shutdown sound.

Do somebody know the solution? Because I won't restart my PC so often. :)

As I used VLC 0.8.1 I had no problems. These problems appears after using 0.8.2.

Try resetting VLC (Start menu) and upgrading/reinstalling your DirectX and audiocard drivers.
Don't use PMs for support questions.
