ActiveX streaming

I finally got the ActiveX plugin to work with IE and am able to recieve streaming video but I was wondering if you can stream video over udp using the activeX controls? thanx for the help.

That could be possible, but I strongly recommend you to use the standalone variant of VLC to do that. A browser plugin is not really suited for this purpose. Additionally, the standalone-variant features a streaming-wizard, which makes the setup of your stream much easier.

You may want to have a look at the Streaming-HOWTO on the documentation page for more information on Streaming with VLC.

I wondering the similar question is it possible to stream to a file with the activex in visualbasic.NET 2003, because i try to record a stream from a Hauppauge PVR250 card but it doesn't works when i add the :sout... to the MRL. I am trying to program a front end with this activex that can record TV programs. I know thats it's possible with the vlc program.
