Album art

Where does the album art come from for VLC for Android. All my "unknown albums" covers are defaulted to an image that I have on my phone which is totally unrelated to the album. On the windows VLC it will automatically find the correct version embedded in the mp3 file (or however it does it, as I don't actually have the image saved separately) and display it as the album art. Is there a way to force VLC for Android to "forget" all the current album art it has assigned, and then reassign them properly (a refresh button)?

Try clearing the media database (try at your own risk): Preferences->Advanced debugging->Clear media database

I just tried that, but it didn't work. Do you have any more suggestions?

By the way do you know where (and how) VLC will look for the album art for a particular audio file (both on android and windows)? I just did a quick test on windows: with just an audio file (no image associated with it) and connected to the internet it automatically downloaded the art, without the internet it didn't and displayed nothing. Is it possible to do the same on android? And do you know why on android it would have associated the wrong artwork with the audio file (they were in the same folder, thats about all).
