Playback Issue on TV

Postby TempletonPeck » 14 Jan 2013 01:29

I have my computer hooked up to my TV via HDMI.

With VLC media player when playing back video files (mainly MKV files) blacks are greyish. At first I thought it was an issue with my TV, but I tried a different video player with the same files and black was dark black as it should be.

I don't get why it's like this, I'd prefer to just use VLC as it supports more file types.

Any idea why or how to fix this?

You can also try to enable or disable some video options such as Overlay and/or Hardware YUV -> RGB conversions.
