Hi,
the latest nightly build of VLC 2.1.0: vlc-2.1.0-git-20121228-1729-win32.exe
seems to have problem some of Quicktime mov file, some of them will play fine, for some it just exit right away and for some you get a distorted sound.
For example if you download the trailer from:
wget -U QuickTime http://trailers.apple.com/movies/fox/av ... h1080p.mov
This one will produce a distorted sound.
But all the mov I have play fine with the older VLC 2.0.6

Yep, the audio is not stable yet.
