Prefer EXTM3U info to mp3 tags

Prefer EXTM3U info to mp3 tags

Postby m42a » 25 Dec 2012 17:49

I have a bunch of mp3 files which are tagged badly and which I can't modify. I know the correct information for the files and have put it in an extended m3u file, but VLC still reads the tags from the files and uses that instead of the m3u information. Is there a way to make VLC prefer the m3u's info the the mp3's info, or if not, is there another playlist format where VLC will prefer that info to the mp3's info?
