DVD layer change time counter weirdness

Postby zorg47 » 17 Jul 2005 06:35

I'm playing DVDs with VLC 0.8.2 on Win2k. When the movie reaches the layer change (for example "U-571" at 01:03:19), the move continues playing fine, but the time counter starts over at 00:00:00. Then when I press Alt-Right or Alt-Left to skip forward or backward a few seconds, the movies jumps all the way back to near the beginning. Those keys behave erratically at other places too. The large time slider control always works fine. Anyone else having similar problems?

Here's my debug messages at the layer change:

main warning: dts != current_pts (-494695)
main warning: late picture skipped (85256)
main warning: computed PTS is out of range (131211), clearing out
main warning: PTS is out of range (164000), dropping buffer
main warning: output PTS is out of range (154254), clearing out
main debug: audio output is starving (245694), playing silence
main warning: output date isn't PTS date, requesting resampling (-41200)
main warning: buffer is 41200 in advance, triggering downsampling
main warning: resampling stopped after 11297000 usec (drift: -612)
