Recommended Developer Linux Distribution

Postby lilrate » 10 Dec 2012 15:02

What Linux distributions do the developers use? I am setting up a virtual machine, and want to pick a distribution that is the least hassle. The wiki suggests the any latest, but I is there a particular one favored by the wiki/developers if starting fresh?

Ubuntu, Debian or Arch are quite safe to use for VLC development.

And definitely a recent version is an absolute requirement.
