Start a film at the position where closed before

I would love to have the option to start a film at the last position before VLC has been closed or before another film has been opened.

That is not the same as setting bookmark manually of course.

The feature is well known from audio players for audiobooks, or from ebook readers for ebooks.

I think of an "identifying" a film from it's path or URL.

May be you like that suggest.
