hallo,
I have an HD movie (.mkv file) which I play on VLC. (windows 32-bit) The movie sort of stutters, there is not fluid motion of the movie. There's no frame loss, it's just that the movie doesn't play as fluid as say, an. avi or mp4 file. I've tried to convert the .mkv to other files, but that doesn't solve the problem. Is there perhaps a setting on the vlc media player that I can use to try and tweak the stuttering of the film?
I've tried TOOLS > PREFERENCES > SHOW SETTINGS > ALL > VIDEO CODECS > FFMPEG > SKIP LOOP FILTER (changed to ALL) - but that doesn't work.
NEVERMIND! I SOLVED THE ISSUE - TOOLS > PREFERENCES > SHOW SETTINGS > ALL > INPUT/CODECS > ADVANCED > CHANGE "FILE CACHING" FROM 300 TO 2000.
thank you kindly!
