This just started to happen. I have no sound when i play the vlc media player. I t worked fine two days ago now it doesnt. And yes the mute button is off. I can watch video but hear nothing.
MMy computer is fine. I have sound on all other applications. Can anyone tell m a solution. Thanks.

Try to rename the executable to VLC2.exe.
If it works then for some reason VLC has been muted in the sound mixer settings.
