Audio dropouts in Mountain Lion

Postby Toranaga » 01 Oct 2012 10:46

I am getting intermittent audio dropouts when playing files with digital audio (mkv's) since upgrading to Mountain Lion. At first I thought it was only in VLC, but now after using MplayerX it also happens with that. I am using toslink optical cable to my reciever.

Does anyone else have this problem? There IS an "announcement" on this board regarding this, but the "solution" does not help and I get no response in that thread...

I have a late 2010 27" iMac.

Try to delete the existing VLC.app and download it again from www.videolan.org - you might be using a broken build which we accidentally shipped in the first few days of version 2.0.3.

I have the same issue. I have re-downloaded the file several times but in some movies I am still experiencing audio dropouts for a sec or two. Any other solution?
