RFE: "Share Desktop" multicasting

Postby maymann » 02 Sep 2012 22:41

"Can I configure VLMa to:
1. Schedule a videofile on VLMa server for a specific date/time <-> multicast Windows viewers ?
- play a video file directly from the VLMa Linux server to multiple windows clients using multicasting

2. Share Windows desktop from presenter <-> multicast Windows viewers ?
- presenter booking Outlook/Exchange meeting from VLMa. Calender invite to Presenter with Presenter link and Calender invite to Viewers with Viewer link.
- to start the meeting, Presenter hits the link (or login to VLMa->My meetings [type=Presenter]) and hits a start "share desktop" button on the website that will then launches Presenter PC VLC session with needed parameters
- to join the meeting, viewers following their link in their mail (or login to VLMa->My meetings [type=Viewer]) and VLMa will either:
A. redirected to presenters PCs VLC session if it is started, or
B. run a loop refresh page until presenter starts session.

I think "Share Desktop" multicasting would be a killer feature for VLMa !"
