Is this a bug?

The following has happened to me, I don´t know to others: I try to connect to a multicast stream at 239.255.1.1:1234, for example. There is not such stream in my network, but there is another unicast stream sent to the port 1234 of my computer. Then, VLC open this unicast stream. I hadn´t seen it up to now (I´m using now the 0.8.2 version), but I can´t sure it didn´t happen. Is this a normal behaviour, or it´s a bug?
