Auto streaming files added to a playlist

Postby pongo2000 » 17 Aug 2012 12:47

Hello All
We are using VLC to stream audio and Video on a UDP cast to our digital signage screens running Xibo.
At the moment the only way I can figure out how to do it is to add each file to a playlist then individualy stream each file and then remove the original file so i end up with a playlist of streaming files. This has worked really well but the Ladies in our ofiice are struggleing to do this.
My question is . Is it possible to create a playlist in vlc that streams and any new files added or dragged and dropped into the play list will automaticly be added and stream without having to set the udp address and stream settings on a file by file basis .

Thanks in advance

Did you try --sout-keep option?
