Display audio info in main window

Postby Uffe » 21 Jul 2012 07:51

Hi!

Possibly dumb question:
Is there a way to get VLC to display information for the currently playing audio file, either from metadata tags or the file name, in the main window instead of the traffic cone or album art?
I've looked through all the preferences (in 2.0.2), but can't seem to find one that does this.

What I want is to be able to see at a glance what's playing in VLC even from somewhere else in the room.
I can sort of achieve what I'm after by opening the playlist and increasing the display size many times, but is there a better way?

Thanks!
