choppy video while playing with vlc 2.0.1

Postby loginofdeath » 01 Jul 2012 16:12

While playing a certain Hi10P AAC file I noticed choppy video playback in some of the parts. My computer configuration is
Intel core2 Duo CPU E7500@2.93GHz,2GB RAM,NVIDIA GeForce 210.I use vlc 2.0.1.Is that due to the incompetence of my graphics card? Will the problem be solved if I use a better graphics card? If it is so, please recommend me a suitable model from the nvidia family which is cost efficient.
Thank you in advance.

GPU can't do Hi10p, only CPU can.

You can try to use the opengl video module of VLC, it might be better.
