VLC video degradation when streaming output with audio eq

Postby osiris » 20 Jun 2012 18:16

I am able to successfully stream an mp4 file to output with audio equalization applied. However, all methods I have tried (whether transcoding the video or not, using Dummy, etc) degrade the video output, or of course, result in no video at all. When I view the resultant file the audio is exactly what was expected, but the video is jumpy and choppy.

I would greatly appreciate any help with the exact settings to use to stream a file to output with audio eq applied while retaining the original video quality? Otherwise, I am left with no option but to stream to an audio-only file and then edit the new audio with the original video.

Thank you.

Update - The jumpiness and choppiness is evident when the output video is viewed in a different media player, namely QuickTime Player. When viewed in VLC the output video is fine. The original video plays smoothly in both players.
